The time has come again, as it does every year, and the underclassmen have to say good bye to the senior class. Having dwelled in the halls of high school for four years, we know what we wish we could have done differently. We have grown, changed, and battled to become who we are today. Here are the pearls of wisdom the senior class wants to bestow upon you!

It is extremely important to think of your future when you walk into high school; you never know when there will be things that you wish you could change. For example, Michael Hill, when asked what he would have done differently during his time in LCHS says, “I would have changed the path I was going down. I wish I could have looked back and seen what I was doing.”

High school is a time of growing and becoming who you are. We all have things we wish we had done differently during this time. “As an underclassman, I was really intimidated by upperclassmen. I wish I would have held my ground and not let people push me around. I also wish I would have focused more on my grades,” said Ashley Hornback.

Dylan West said, “I would have paid more attention to teachers telling me about real life lessons like managing your money and I would have tried harder with my grades.” Grades are a HUGE deal in High school.

Ripley Lucas hit the nail on the head when she said, “I wish I had known that everything that has to do with your collage career is decided in the first three months of your senior year. You need everything together by the end of your junior year, so you are not scrambling around your senior year.”

Inventively we seniors have things we wish we could have done differently. Miranda Hickman says “Take the ACT as many times as you can, it will help you in the long run.”

“Plan what you are doing from freshman year on,” said Michael Hill.

“Make sure you pass all your classes try very hard and get involved in as many extracurricular activities as possible and do community service,” says Dylan West

All of these things should be taken into consideration because high school goes so fast it blurs. I wish that I had known that it would have gone so fast because I would have stopped to enjoy every second. I suggest you slow down and try not to worry about what other people think, enjoy your high school career because these really are the best years of your life.
