It was a cool evening. The air was crisp. The moon was full, casting its illuminating gaze upon the land Carrying my axe, I lurked by the edge of the corn field. When I reached my destination, I began to look for my targets. Looking to the field adjacent to me I saw them.

Those unsuspecting fools never saw it coming. In the blink of an eye, I was already on them. I went through them one by one, crashing down the axe into their ribs. I saw it rupture their skin, turning the meat inside to a pulp. I looked down upon the axe, watching bits of liquid slowly drip off the edge. With a newfound determination, I decided I wasn’t going to finish my onslaught until I destroyed them all!

As I destroyed the last one, I realized I wasn’t alone anymore. I turned to see a figure, levitating a few feet above the chaotic mess. Its sharp eyes glowed with a petrifying evil. I began to think I was gazing into the eyes of Samhain. As a gentle wind blew his arms stretched out towards me. Lashing out, I swung the axe overhead directly into his face, right between those evil eyes, cutting his head in two. Bits of reminiscent brain dripped from his wound. His body fell from the air, and crumpled on the ground.

Feeling like my work here was done, I walked away from the scarecrow and pumpkin patch, back into the corn fields from which I came.
