With how spring break has come and gone, many of the teachers and students of LCHS planned to enjoy their plans for the week off. Between the students in my creative writing class, the regular students, and the teachers that work with us, our plans weren’t too different.
In our creative writing class, many of the people I talked to didn’t really have much planned, but the ones that did had a plate full. Our very own Katelyn Senesi planned to go to California, and while on the topic off traveling, Mark Wright had planned to go to Florida. Another one of my classmates, Zoe, said that she went bridesmaid shopping. I, myself, didn’t really have much planned unlike most of my peers.
The students I talked to outside of my creative writing class before spring break didn’t really talk much about traveling. The students plans more or less included working or not doing much at all. In the words of Jenna Hazelwood, “I’ll be workn’ on the farm.” I don’t think she couldn’t have said it better than that, and Terry Dolton summed up what most of the other students I talked to said when I asked them about their plans saying, “I’m gonna watch YouTube vids and I’m going to the zoo.”
Though, it’s easy to forget teachers like relaxing too, interestingly enough Ms. Biven came out to the school during spring break to deal with business having to do with the FFA. Mr. Thomas also came out to the school during break, so that he could work on the green house, but he also hosted a birthday party for his son.
Surprisingly enough, most people I talked to didn’t follow through with their original plans, but isn’t that arguably what spring breaks about? I know that I used the time to unwind and relax, as most others probably should’ve, including our teachers (those guys work too hard).
