Jensen is a junior who enjoys art, reading, makeup and concerts. If you looked for her you’d most likely find her eating, sleeping or watching makeup tutorials. “You can take anything if you want it enough.” – Effy Stonem.

“Where is she?” His piercing screech jerked me from my slumber. I sat straight up in bed as I slid my feet into my cotton filled slippers. The wooden floor creaked from my rushed stomps down the hall. “Kate?!” Her boyfriend’s voice projected through the entire house. She’s probably gone out with that stupid dude again… the agitated thought dashed through my mind. After quickly stumbling into the living room a strange noise caught my attention. Thud, thud, thud. The sharp tapping repeated as I paced gradually further, into the living room. Thud, thud, thud.  The tapping rang as if it was coming from the window. “Kate?” my raspy voice whispered. I scanned my eyes across the window searching for her, but all there was to see was the dark abyss of the night. Thud, thud, thud. The knocking of glass proceeded. Puzzled, I gazed around the room in wonder of where else such a noise could have come from. “She’s been gone for hours, I think she took off after her brother.” Her boyfriend cried out from the upstairs hallway.  Once again, the pattern stuck. Thud, thud, thud. It had grown louder by the time I had breached the middle of the room. Thud, thud, thud. The glass buzzed one last time behind me. I spun around to the old mirror hanging on the wall. Kate was staring back at me with red velvet eyes. Behind her was her brother hanging by a knotted rope from the ceiling fan.
