The dusky morning fog surrounded the sinister house. A black rusted gate swallowed the entirety of his home and kept everything out and let nothing in. The once cream-tinted paint on the outside walls had faded into a dark gray which was smothered by Ivy roots. Every window that was visible had been bordered up and painted black, so that I could never see inside. Lying in bed at night, I could hear distant screams of terror and pain that sent chills down my body. I peeked outside my window and always watched the strangers enter, but I have never actually seen any of them leave.
