The winter is one of the best times of the year, but sometimes you don’t know what to do outside when it snows a lot. I am here to tell you there are thousands of things to do such as; snowball fights, ice skating, and making snowmen.

Firstly, when I was little and it snowed I use to get the family outside and have a huge snowball fight. To successfully have a snowball fight, you will need several people and a lot of snow. Also, you don’t want to hit anybody in the face; it tends to make people irritated and cold. It is pretty self-explanatory to make a snow ball. You put snow in your hand and ball roll it until it looks close to a ball.  I asked LaRue County senior Jaime

Wilson what her favorite snow activity is, she said “I love getting the family outside and having a snowball fight.”

Another thing, you could make a snowman or since you’re at it or make an entire snow family. It is practically the same way to make a snowball but, you make a ball and roll it on the ground until you make a big enough ball. Then make a couple more. When you are finished you can make it have eyes or even a mouth or do like I use to do and destroy it afterwards and make another one. Another thing you could do is make a little hand sized snowman and put it in the freezer, you will have a little baby snowman year long.

Lastly, ice skating is always fun. What me and my brother do is when the pond by our house freezes, we throw rock on it and skate on the ice. There are many things you could do when you are ice skating such as hockey or even have a little snowball fight. If you don’t have a pond or creek beside or close to your house find a friend that does and do it there. Also, if you should always put on a bunch of clothes so you don’t break anything. Another thing to keep in mind, make sure the pond is completely frozen before you skate on it.

In conclusion, winter is my favorite season, and when it snows I am ecstatic. When it snows, do some of these activities for fun. These activities don’t just make you happy it makes the people around you happy.
